Jar Return Program

 

We are excited to announce that we have begun to implement a jar return/recycle program! If you have purchased a candle from Whimsy and Wit, whether online or in person, we will be offering the opportunity to help us recycle them! For the initial launch of the program, jars will have to be returned in person at the Downtown Waxahachie Farmer’s Market. At this time, we are only accepting our jars. (No jars from another company will be accepted.)

How it works:

If you choose to return your jar, please stop by our booth on any Saturday during the market season or another location that has been previously discussed with you personally via email or phone and you’ll get 10% off your next purchase. During checkout, we will subtract your discount from your subtotal. If you choose not to make a purchase that day, we will provide you with a discount card to be used on your next purchase. This card can only be used once and must be surrendered at the time of checkout.

What do we do with old jars?

Any previously used candle jar returned gets repurposed into a new candle. To simplify the process, we take used jars back to our shop, remove the old wax and stickers, clean the jars, and then make new candles using the old jars. Most jars end up looking brand new! If there happen to be any imperfections, in/on the jars that are not removable, we will determine the best course of action that fit our needs. We always have a purpose for old jars at Whimsy and Wit!
