Hello everyone! Please bare with me as this is a work in progress. I will continue to update this list as I go through the toys we have to create reviews and choose our favorites for gift ideas and gift requests for toddlers.
If you’re like me, I like to give gifts that will last for years and are both fun and educational. Quality is definitely a major factor here, but it’s an added bonus if you are able to gift multiple toys for one occasion without breaking the bank! Generally speaking I like to keep gifts for kids birthdays, Christmas presents, or other occasions between $20-$40. The list below contains toys that I have either gifted to friends and family or to my kids. Although, this post contains affliate links, I certainly have purchased them and stand behind them 100%.
Melissa and Doug Puzzles (Chunky and Peg)
I think the first puzzle I Eivin received was for his first birthday. I honestly hadn’t thought about him being ready for puzzles so early, but he was so intrigued by it that I knew it wouldn’t be long until he figured it out. We started out with just the one and worked on it at least once a day. Puzzles really are great tools to teach your child matching and if it’s an animal, shape, number, or letter puzzle you get the added bonus of teaching him to recognize those early on as well. Honestly he had no idea he was learning while playing and it was fun for me to watch him learn and improve his skillls each week!
If your looking for a few to add to your collection or gift to nieces/nephews, cousins, or just friends here is the list of the ones we have done so with, as well! Just a fair warning though, the peg puzzles hurt as bad as legos when you step on them!
